If you are planning a new electrical service from NELPCO, you should contact our office to verify the requirements and to determine the costs involved for your particular needs.
Per the Louisiana Public Service Commission General Order dated September 19,2019 (Docket No. R-33929), NELPCO's 2023 avoided cost rate is 6.190 cents. For more information regarding this order, please call our office or visit the LPSC website.
Each parish NELPCO serves has conditions for new or existing structures that must be met before electricity can be connected. We recommented contacting your local parish offices before beginning any new construction.

NOTICE
Any individual or corporation intending to build new or significantly modify existing facilities requiring electric service within our coverage area MUST contact our office prior to beginning construction: facilities being any structure, irrigation well, pump, aerator, grain bin, etc.
Failure to notify us of such facilities could result in a significant delay in or possible denial of electric service if we find that adequate capacity and suitable phase and voltage is not available.
